Stan has worked as a professional tattoo artist in the West and Midwest. He started his tattooing career in Colorado in 1998. He works comfortably as a custom artist in a variety of styles, and specializes in portraits and cover-ups. Stan also is a freelance illustrator and has obtained B.F.A.'s in illustration  and graphic design before going into the tattoo profession.

Jack the "Illustrated Man" started Kansas City's first tattoo shop in midtown in
1972, where he worked as the areas only tattooer for years, setting the wheels in motion for the areas support of the tatttooing industry.  Over the last 20 years the rise in popularity and acceptability of tattooing, there has been a boom in the number of tattoo shops in this area as well as nationwide...but the Illustrated Man Tattoo still remains a household name for the best tattooing through the generations.
